Program Directors


Clinical Staff








Medical Director- Thomas C. Winegarden, M.D.
is a Board Certified Adult and Addictions Psychiatrist. He received his degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and is the current Medical Director of Stone Creek Psychiatry in Chanhassen, MN. Dr. Winegarden has served at Halzelden Treatment Center, Center City, MN since 1994 and serves as staff psychiatrist at Fairview Southdale Hospital. His clinical interests include bipolar, depression, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder and addictions in adults.





Clinical Director- Hal Baumchen, Psy.D., LP
is the Executive Director of Northland Counseling Services. He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over twenty years of experience. He received his Master's Degree from Wheaton Graduate School and his Doctorate of Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. He has taught workshops in the U.S.A., Canada, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India. He co-authored, Finding Hope Again: Overcoming Depression with Dr. Neil T. Anderson. Additionally, he has taught at Bethany International as well as Acts International and is an ordained minister. He offers individual, marriage and family therapy with specialties in treatment of anxiety and depression.





Sheri Hinrichs, MA, LPP
Education:
Masters degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary's University of MN.
Clinical Interests: Depression, anxiety, pre-marital/marital and relationship issues, and spiritual concerns. Also, therapy for life transitions and career challenges for adults and couples





Daniel L. Snyder, Psy.D., LP
Education:
Masters degree from Wheaton Graduate School and Doctorate of Psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology.
Clinical Interests: Individual therapy for adults and adolescents. Marriage and family therapy. Psychological Testing, Assessment, diagnosis of mental disorders for ADD/ADHD and leawrning disability screening.






Julie R. Stender, MSW, LICSW
Education:
Masters degree in Social Work from University of St. Thomas/College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN.
Clinical Interests: Individual and family therapy working with adults and children. Working around the areas of empowerment, character building and life goals and plans. Adults with anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
